Head lice are common in situations where children come into close contact regularly, such as school and day care centers. Lice can live in hair all over the head, not just on the scalp, and can live elsewhere on the body (in which case, they may be called pubic lice or body lice.)
Contrary to popular belief, headlice do not fly (they have no wings) and they cannot jump. They crawl from one location to the next, and the females lay eggs called nits. A female louse can lay 50 to 100 nits before dying. The nits are attached to the hairs using a sticky substance, making them difficult to remove manually from the hair shaft. Once the nit is left by the female louse, it takes about 10 days to mature to an adult.
Once a child has been found to be harboring headlice by a nurse or teacher, parents ask themselves how to get rid of hair lice. There are several ways to do so; lice shampoo, available at most local pharmacies and drugstores, is one way. There are also special lice combs and herbal remedies (usually made with coconut or tea tree oils) that will help dispel an infestation of lice.
Treat the areas where your child is at most frequently. Places such as his or her bedroom, living room, and other areas of play. Make sure to vacuum daily to remove any nits or lice from the carpet. Wash all soft items like clothing, stuffed animals, and bedding in hot water and dry them on the hottest cycle, this is all important to treat your child’s lice infestation.
Prevention of lice is sometimes impossible, but practicing good hygiene is important. Instruct your child not to share hats, helmets, or hooded clothing with other children. Wipe off items like headphones between use. Frequently check your child for any signs of headlice, which can include white spots that do not comb off easily, and watch your child for frequent itching or scratching of the head.
If you find that your child does indeed have head lice, inform his or her teacher and or the school nurse so then other children can be checked to prevent a widespread epidemic. Several schools now require that a child with head lice remain at home until treated and is fully clear is lice and nits. Refer to your school for detailed regulations on these policies.

I got some and began charging left and right, because I thought I’d have no problem repaying them. My credit was shot before I finished college. However, I grew up, got a good job and found myself needing credit cards and needing to rebuild my credit history. It took some time but bad credit does go away and one of the first steps can be to get bad credit credit cards. My credit is now perfect and getting the best rate for a mortgage was a snap.
Be honest with yourself and make a sincere assessment of your situation. You’ll need to get a copy of your credit score and find out what your numerical value is. It may seem hopeless now, but there are concrete steps you can take to get back on your feet and have a new credit beginning.
Second, you can choose from either a secured credit card that works like a debit card, by guaranteeing it with a deposit made with a bank or institution or an unsecured credit card that can have a high interest rate attached. Once you’ve gone through the steps to obtain credit report, review your banking history. Have you bounced checks in the past? Do you have trouble keeping your checkbook accurately balanced? If you can answer ‘yes’ to either of these questions than you might want to consider bad credit credit cards option.

We cancelled the expiring contract on some advertising that wasn’t bringing in much new business and found a less expensive alternative and saved $280 a month. We consolidated a portion of his debt to a low interest loan and saved over $300 in monthly finance charges. We sold a lease-purchase piece of equipment he had no use for and paid off the balance. That saved him $239 a month. We even switched banks and moved his accounts to one with no monthly account charges and got the old bank off his payroll to the tune of $25 a month. Now he has a nice pension fund building up each month.

I have many women in my family, from cousins, sisters and aunts to nieces, sisters in law, and also friends. So as you can imagine, I’ve been to a lot of different baby showers. But the one I went to recently stands out as absolutely brilliant and gorgeous.
They made something very special when they decided to use brand new ideas for baby showers. One of the most thoughtful things they did was that they brought gifts for the mother as well as the baby. I thought that was very nice, because the mother was able to get some well deserved pampering!
One of their greatest ideas for baby showers was to make individual tiny cakes for each guest rather than one large cake. The little cakes were made part of a game. There was a little plastic baby in one of them. A prize went to whoever found the baby.
They used many different designs for the cakes, which made it all the more fun and interesting. But one of my very favorite things about the baby shower was the decorations. They didn’t use the usual pinks or blues. You see, they didn’t know what the baby was going to be; the mother decided not to find out.
Instead, cute little sayings like, “Mommy’s Little Princess or Daddy’s Little Quarterback?” were used to decorate the entire room. There were a bunch of beautiful posters printed out with sayings like that. They even featured princess crowns and footballs!
This event had some of the best ideas for baby showers I have ever seen, and it was one of the best baby showers I’ve ever been to. Try using some of the ideas above if you want to do something really unique. Most importantly, have lots of fun celebrating the upcoming arrival of your new bundle of joy!

They are currently violating what we here in the US call Freedom of Speech. Have you heard of Digital Rights Management or DRM for short? What you don’t know is that we no longer have control of the music we pay for! Let me go back in time for a moment,
I remember turning on my radio back when it was free, and have an endless variety of music filling up any room I was in. I would then go out and buy that tape and it was mine I could play it until I was ill or until the tape broke.
Then the CD emerged, I knew then and know now that no good has come of it. Because you see we don’t actually “own” our cd’s, Apple and Microsoft do.
Like did you know that if you buy a cd and try to god forbid rip the tracks to play on your (insert mp3 player here) you just might get a nasty error that tells you that you don’t have the “rights” to these tracks. OK so you find a workaround and plead with your computer that you do own them. Then the problem lies in which software you do use which is the second conundrum. If you use Windows Media Player then you probably can’t put these new MP3’s on your shiny new Ipod…
However you say never mind the dang cd’s I get my music online at Itunes! Or Microsoft
