The SpyWARE Who Came In From The Cold

By On September 29, 2007 Under Internet

My friend is an outdoorsman, at least that’s what he’d like to be, on a monday thru Friday he fixes small networks and does an brilliant job and has earned a par excellent reputation. When I’m stuck with a PC predicament, my friend is the person I reach for and no matter how difficult or complex the problem, give him some time and he’ll ferret out a resolution. He mentioned something disturbing last night, it seems that a large percentage of the units he services have spyware or adware on their systems, and most people are uninformed of it; only calling him when their PCs become slugish.

The net is analogous to a living, breathing life-form continually developing, and not always in a positive direction, though it unquestionably has given me a career and income. As the seasons change and technology moves forward, so too does spyware. It is vital today to have Spyware Removal tools on your system and to schedule scans on a regualr basis; essential is keeping the software up to date, because what may have worked yesterday could overlook a virus or spywarecoded since the previous scan.

As benchmark for this report (but not using this system) I ran a test, removing any anti spyware, anti adware software then visiting several auto surf sites. These sites are perfect for new marketers, allowing them the method to send people to their own websites, accomplished by their at other relevant sites. The operation is performed this way:

You visit site ‘A’ and receive a credit for doing so. The credits are assigned to a site you want to promote. Then When someone else surfs, your website is offered for review. The system is designed so everyone gets a look at someone elses site.

In theory this is a beautiful plan, there are some that (not all) of these traffic exchanges are either part of a larger entity or used by people of ill intent. Their intent not to simply display an offer or website, but to send spyway to your PC. And today much of this malware is intelligient enough to begin the installation of spyware/adware onto your PC, as easily as looking at their site. I’m not knocking these sites or telling you not to use them, I am recommending caution and stating you be certain your PC is secure.

If this concerns you, studies say you may already have or will certainly run into spyware or adware. If you have the belief, I don’t visit those kinds of sites and I definetely would never install illegal titles, then congratulations, but you are still at risk. Take the preventative measure. Remember the old warning…

’an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’

In this day and age it not only makes good sense, its mandatory to protect yourself. Many of your files, either from a business or privacy concerns; think of opening your eyes up to discover all your data erased. Appalling, completely… Possible?… It’s happened to others. Preventable? You bet by installing the most highly rated adware removal programs.

Were you aware that spyware was so widespread, maybe you’re thinking what will spyware and adware do to my system. Great, glad to know you’re concerned. Mostly spyware/adware/malware are not were not coded to erase files, rather to report your surfing habits. keeping records and data, then reporting your activity to someone/somewhere; the spyware sometimes will initiate ads and probably will stifle your system, slow your motherboard and decrease your connection speed to the world wide web. It’s not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.

I’m very grateful there are sharp programmers that feel exactly the same way that I feel; this group want to take action. I don’t know how to write programs, Instead I write, and I write these thoughts to offer fair warning and advise you take precautions and shield your system. I thank those coders with the hard work and spirit to write and make available these top drawer spyware/adware removal programs.

When you decide on one of the spyware removal tools to install, I’d advise regular scans of your PC. If the automatic features of the program are used, most of the scans are done automatically, and in all probability while you’re away from your system.
